Web 2.0 and collaboration web tools have exploded onto the web and users are thirsty for this type of “cloud computing”. Yup, you heard it cloud computing is at least what Google is referring to these days to their very powerful Google Aps system. The suite that contains Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Google Talk and sites. Google Aps allows you and your company to have a custom email address, tools for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations, a shared calendering system and access to a flexible intranet system, as well as standalone security and compiance serviecs are also available.

Today’s users are on the move, mobile computing is on the rise and users are getting tired of their hands being tied. Google is leading the charge and most recently have teamed up with even Salesforce.com to offer an amazing integrated solution which yours truely is currently testing out.

:) Let you know how that goes. Well, that’s it for now on this subject. I’ll touch on this in another post.

Streaming Vidoes and Youtube

Friday, April 18th, 2008

YouTubeStreaming Videos and the likes of Youtube have taken the internet by storm. Never before has it been so easy to share, upload and view videos. As a web design company offering the video service, I have to admit we were taken back by the youtube explosion. At first we did not know what to make of it, how would we offer our clients value or compete with these guys. Silly huh?

Well, it took some time and one day soon enough we realized, hey this is not a bad thing at all. As of a matter of fact this will help our business and customers do something truely amazing. It will help us reach many viewers like nothing else we’ve seen. To that I mean the power of streaming video viral marketing opportunties. Today, we still offer the service of acutally shooting and producing the video for your company or service and also have an amazing distribution channel to distribute and market your video online to sites like Youtube, Google Video and several others.

Want to learn more? Give us a call or drop us an email. We’ll be glad to fill you in.

Is it time for a website makeover?

Friday, April 18th, 2008

As a website owner, I’m sure by now you must know whether or not your website is doing it’s job. Make no mistake here, it has a job. Now, either you’re in business or simply have something to say and really want people or customers to get to this website of yours right? Let’s face it folks, you need to impress and capture your market. I really don’t think a template will cut it. Of course if your budget is not there, well I suppose you have no choice, but do you? We believe that a website just like anything is an investment. Treat it well, invest in it and it will reward you. Simply put it’s unreal how many websites are over 10 years old now.

Today’s internet users are savier, smarter and still want to enjoy themselves on your site. I don’t want to get started on the fact that Search engine optimization is important here, but let’s be real for a moment, it’s poeple that will make the decision to call you and as people, you need to still impress and capture their attention. So, bottom line, if your site is not generating any leads there’s something wrong, either the site is not designed properly to capture the audience, or it’s not getting the right traffic. It may be time for a makeover.
